LEGACY OF COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
A strong tradition of partnership between Kentwood Public Schools and the community has helped shape thriving schools and a vibrant region. As enrollment grows and needs evolve, that legacy continues through thoughtful, long-term planning for facilities and learning environments. The Safety + Success Bond Proposal is the next step in that shared commitment, supporting today’s students while planning responsibly for tomorrow.
FROM PRE-K TO EK
Over the past three years, our community has supported the expansion of early childhood programming and an elementary redistricting process to address enrollment changes, new housing development, and balance of school populations.
COMMUNITY INPUT
Community engagement has played an important role in long-term planning. Through town halls and stakeholder feedback, key facility themes emerged: the evolving needs of middle school learning environments, more space for real-world learning experiences, continued improvements to playgrounds, expanding opportunities for performing arts, and keeping our ice arena up and running. Paired with our Guiding Principles, the Safety + Success bond proposal was born.
