As one of the fastest-growing school districts in Michigan, serving more than 9,600 students, Kentwood Public Schools has proposed The Safety + Success Bond Proposal to support district-wide safety improvements, a new Valleywood Middle School, inclusive playgrounds, expanded performing arts, career and STEM learning spaces, and more.
If approved, the proposed 4.5-mill debt rate would generate $125 million for facility projects, restoring the district’s debt level to what was previously held in 2011 while maintaining the second-lowest rate among school districts in the county.
